2016 has been a bittersweet year at The William Light Institute.

2016 has been a bittersweet year at The William Light Institute.

On the positive front we:

Achieved our first ever international accreditation with the Wound Resource Management program and completed the first course in Sri Lanka
Commenced two intakes of the new Graduate Certificate in Wound Management with our partner Australian Nursing and Midwifery Education Centre
Expanded the Professional Year program to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
Obtained exceptionally positive feedback on our Professional Year internships
Received very confirming industry feedback on the concept for our new post graduate nursing qualification which we believe will be an industry leader
Progressed some exciting new partnerships in India and locally
Commenced development of new short courses for medical doctors

However, tragically, our founding Principal Mona Dharmasenan passed away in July. Mona was a great friend, mentor, and educator. She loved seeing international students thrive (just like she did herself) and was passionate about providing them with the best possible education and personal support. Mona’s memory and philosophy will live on at William Light. In 2017 we will be launching a series of scholarships in her name.

Trusting that you all have a great holiday

Best regards
